The Government of Azerbaijan plans to install a total new energy capacity of 7.65 GW from 2013 to 2020 and implement the installation in three phases, and hopes to cooperate with China in the areas of technology, equipment and services. To further strengthen cooperation, the delegation paid a visit to the Economic and Commercial Counselor's Office of the Chinese Embassy in Azerbaijan, to learn about the cooperation and development of local Chinese-funded enterprises in the field of renewable energy. At the same time, a discussion was held with the Alternative and Renewable Energy Agency of Azerbaijan, to learn more about the current status of Azerbaijan’s renewable energy development and its future plans, and explore the cooperation opportunities between China and Azerbaijan.
