From Oct. 18 to 21, 2015, a delegation headed by Mr. Nur Bekri, NEA Administrator, attended the 4th China-UK Energy Dialog in London, UK, with the leaders of the relevant divisions of NEA and the representative of the major Chinese energy development enterprises attending the meeting. At the meeting, Mr. Nur Bekri introduced the main contents and progress of China's energy production and consumption revolution, and proposed suggestions on the key directions of China-UK energy cooperation. During the dialog, NEA and the British Department of Energy and Climate Change renewed the memorandum of understanding on energy cooperation. The relevant enterprises and institutions signed five cooperation agreements on offshore wind power, civil nuclear power and others. At the time of the golden age of Sino-British diplomatic relations, the energy dialog could promote the cooperation in the field of energy between the two countries to a new climax. Mr. Yi Yuechun, Deputy Director General of CREEI, and Ms. Zhang Muzi of the International Business Department of CREEI, attended the meeting.
In the presence of Mr. Nur Bekri and Ms. Ambder Rudd, British Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, Mr. Yi Yuechun, as the Chinese Chairman of the Sino-British Steering Committee on Offshore Wind Power Industry Cooperation, and Mr. Julian Brown, Direct of UK Renewable Energy Office, as the British Chairman of the Sino-British Steering Committee on Offshore Wind Power Industry Cooperation, jointly signed the Agreement on China-UK Offshore Wind Power Industry Cooperation. The two sides will form a long-term mechanism based on the cooperation agreement under the guidance of the energy authorities of the two countries, and fully and pragmatically promote the Sino-British cooperation in wind power industry.
